What is the definition of upcoming catalyst? Is it like the anticipated launch year of the pipeline asset?

Written by Vipin Joshi

An upcoming catalyst is a near‑term event that could move an asset’s value or outlook. Think clinical readouts, trial starts/completions, regulatory filings or decisions, etc. These are discrete milestones tied to development progress.

It’s not the same as anticipated launch year. Launch year is a later, outcome-based milestone tied to approval and commercialization, which sits within broader timeline/approval projections.

So catalysts = interim events along the way. Launch year = end goal if things go well.

Does that match how you’re seeing it in the platform, or is there a specific asset field that’s confusing you?
